mObywatel runs in production with nearly 10 million users on version 2.0, alongside a public commitment to fold EUDI Wallet capabilities into the app by the end of 2026. On 16 September 2026 the Ministry of Digital Affairs opened the official EUDI Wallet sandbox (Sandbox EPTC), a free testing environment that gives organisations a demonstration build of the mObywatel Europa application to integrate against and verify identity data before launch. Priority sectors named for onboarding include finance, insurance, telecommunications, transport, education, healthcare and retail. The transition to version 3.0 still carries some delivery risk.
