Public Pilot

Ireland opened early public access to a test wallet in April 2026, joining France and Germany as one of the most accessible ecosystems. The public consultation on the Government Digital Wallet has closed and the Department of Public Expenditure has moved into the pilot phase to stress-test the infrastructure and support mechanisms.
